Centre Based Early Learning

BEL Centre early learning

Barnardos Early Learning Centres offer early education and care to enrich your child’s future.

Purpose built outdoor and indoor spaces stimulate your child’s imagination, while our qualified teachers care for their early learning, wellbeing and safety. From baby to toddler and up until your child is ready for school life, your child’s unique personality will be celebrated and nurtured. Friendships will blossom for the children, and often the parents too, lasting long into the school years and beyond.

Quality early learning

Each centre’s Head Teacher, and their team, are committed to your child’s early learning.

90% of our centre staff are qualified Early Childhood Teachers who thrive on creating learning opportunities based on your child’s interests. Te Whariki – NZ’s Early Childhood Education Curriculum – is woven through each day’s activities and guides the learning framework.

Your child’s learning milestones, as well as other photos and videos, are shared with you via the online platform Storypark.

Community connection

From growing their own vegies to local excursions, your child will develop a healthy connection between their community, their environment and themselves.

Each centre is purpose built, cares for 30 - 50 children each day and reflects its local community. We celebrate our centres’ cultural diversity, responding to their communities’ needs in everything we do.
